Hi, I’m Joel
I'm an operator who's spent most of my life on job sites, on the ground, on the equipment, and side by side with the crews responsible for maintaining Southern California’s parking lots, roads and residential communities.
I know what it means to build a paving business from nothing. I know what it costs, in years, in sacrifice, in the people you carry with you. And I know that when the time comes to step away, most founders don't want the highest bidder. They want someone they can trust.

MY STORY
I grew up in Mexico, raised by my grandmother with nothing.
At eight, I was taken away from her, tricked, told I was going to an amusement park. I never went back.
At 16, through my uncle, I found a paving crew, and for the first time in my life, I found somewhere I belonged. I worked my way up from the ground, sweeping sites, learning the trade, eventually running operations for a large paving company in Southern California.
In 2006 I started Eagle Paving with everything I had. The financial crash came two years later. Then personal losses I wouldn't wish on anyone. Every time, I held on, for my family, and for the people on my payroll who were counting on me.
That's what Pavemasters is built on. Not a pitch deck. A life.
